Inspiration 2

Image
Event photos have recently caught my attention. With what I learned in dealing with people, I want to try and apply techniques to coordinate many people. I assume it will come down to timing and for larger crowds, diversion. The first photo shows the contrast between people when not everyone is coordinated. The second photo shows how timing in events and prior setup is crucial. The last photo shows how using diversions and perfect timing can yield great pictures.

Photo Assignment 1, People

Image
For this first week of shooting, I choose People to help build a foundation of using composition on the human body, and learning how to "manipulate" people to set up a photo exactly how I desired it. Image Triangle F-stop-3.9 Shutter Speed- 1/320 Iso-80 (AWB) Summary: Looking back, a lot was learned in this assignment. In terms of composition, I realized lighting is key in making the images pop. I used several cameras that ranged in hardware specs, and even the higher end ones took lesser photos when in low light. Light is definitely the defining factor in producing quality photos. My First Assignment, But First..... Inspiration

Image
For my first assignment, I've decided to look into using composition in order to produce aesthetically pleasing people photos. The pictures above have each inspired me for very contrasting reasons. The first photo of musician Andre 3000 really serves as a perfect example of black and white, and spacing. The rule of 3rds in relation to Chris Browns Hair designs is what really set that photo apart. Finally, the photo of me at the body really uses lighting and color to make it pop to the eye. I hope to employ all these techniques to produce pleasing photos subconsciously.

Composition Assignment

Composition Assignment- Through Bush Media, take notes on the compositional techniques, and find examples in the world around you. Then, take pictures around the school of subjects that either exemplify, or are taking, using compositional techniques. Then either through editing, manipulation, or capturing the technique in use, upload it to our newly established personal blog.  Balance  Colors  Depth of Field  Framing  Lines  Pattern  Perspective  Space  Symmetry  Texture The Rule of 3rds This assignment taught how to use manual manipulation and observation to provide appeasing photos. In addition it taught how to use subjects outside of people. In addition, post editing tools and cropping gives even means to create compositional sounds photos.
